Mpumi’s career started in Los Angeles and went on to dedicate a great deal of her time in the South African music business. She worked as a Label Manager for Ghetto Ruff and also served as a member of the Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA) steering committee, which is in charge of the South African Music Awards (SAMA). He has vast programme and project management experience in enterprise development and market access, both locally and internationally in the Creative Industries. Mshudulu plays a central role in coordinating the Arts, Culture and Heritage portfolio of the City of Johannesburg, and he has been instrumental in stimulating strategic partnerships between the City and the industry. Mr Mshudulu was previously with the Department of Trade and Industry and Small Business Development where he served as the Deputy Director for Creative Industries and played a critical role in placing the Creative Industries as an important sector in the country’s industrial policy.
