Do you have the talent, the creativity and ideas that need to be heard? With the right support, your vision could have a huge impact on the creative community and beyond; if only you could present it before the right people. If only you had the opportunity to make connections with individuals who can help you bring your vision to life. SEAexpo NEXT is the platform for you!

The Youth Entrepreneurship fund (YEF), in partnership with the SEAexpo (Showbiz, Entertainment & Arts Expo) is calling upon young creatives, entrepreneurs and innovators to present their most cutting edge, ‘out-of-the-box’ concepts to a live audience and YEF representatives on 10 September 2014 at the SEAexpo NEXT, as part of the SEAexpo conference. The SEAexpo is Africa’s exhibition and conference show for the creative industries, taking place on 9 & 10 September 2014 at the Sci-Bono Discovery Centre in Newtown.

The YEF, brainchild of Ezra Ndwandwe, founder and creator of TV entrepreneurial reality show, The Big Break Legacy, is a fund designed to promote youth led businesses by providing grant funding and business development programmes. “I am very excited about the collaboration with the SEAexpo and look forward to choosing the NEXT big thing, that we will be working with for the next 12 months”, says Mr Ndwandwe.

5 specially selected young creatives, entrepreneurs and innovators will have 10 minutes each to present their ideas and convince a live audience and YEF why their idea deserves to win the prize of FREE 12 month workshops and training sessions provided by YEF, as well as access to funding.

Ideas will be judged based on:

  • Innovation
  • Practicality of concepts
  • Uniqueness and inventiveness
  • Use of digital elements

Interested parties are to send a motivation, not exceeding 300 words, explaining why their concept should be amongst the 5 presenters. Motivations are to be sent to no later than Monday, 1 September 2014. Further information can be obtained by visiting or by contacting SEAexpo marketing head on
